Loys (Duke) Robert Young, born May 22, 1915 in Toledo, Oregon died May 23, 2012 in Crescent City, California at the age of 97.
Loys was a Veteran of World War II where he received the Purple Heart. He retired from Rellim Redwood Company in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gladys Young; sons Garry Young (LaVonne) of Crescent City; Robert Young of Ketchikan, Alaska and daughter Bonnie Sedrick (Jerry) of Crescent City, CA.
Granddaughter Paris Camarena (Jeffery); Great Grandson Jeffery Camarena (Rosa); Great Granddaughter Kendall Camarena from Florida and Grandson Tim Brendlin (Kelly) of Livermore, CA; and great granddaughter Crystal Young of Crescent City, CA; geat grandson Evan Brendlin of Livermore, CA; and great great granddaughter Eva Camarena of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.
Loys is preceded in death by his grandson Travis Young and daughter-in-law Beverly Young.
